We have used our Honda UTV with tracks as a snow groomer for years.  If you are thinking of snow grooming with a UTV  the Honda is a great option.  The main reason I say this is because we have used our Honda Pioneer  1000 for years to snow groom snow mobile trails, snow board hills and trails, tubing hills and even just walking paths.

We like to pull our 72″ snow groomer that has wings so that it can make a 96″ wide trail.  This covers the tracks of the Honda UTV easily. Even in the deep powder the Honda has plenty of power to pull the snow groomer.  The snow groomer will ride on top of the powder even while the Honda is kind of pushing through powder.

The snow groomer we pull has wings which bevels back the edges so that there is a lot less powder that falls back into the groomed trail.  The Honda Pioneer pulls the snow groomer even when it has lots of weight added to the snow groomer so that the snow groomer packs the powder down more.

You can see our Honda pioneer in action in the deep snow pulling a snow groomer.

It is fun if you can get someone to ride with you while snow grooming.  This is easy when snow grooming with a Honda Pioneer.

You may be worried about your UTV starting in the cold.  This has never been an issue on our Honda Pioneer.  It starts quickly. Well we have had to replace the battery after a few years but batteries go bad after 4 years.  We use this Honda for more than just snow grooming so it gets started a lot.  We haul snow boarders and sledders up the hill so you can get more runs in.

It would be nice to have an enclosed cab on the Honda to keep you a little warmer while grooming.

You can attach the snowgroomer to your Honda pioneer via the towing hitch (Rear Hitch).

The Honda UTV with tracks runs great at the best towing speeds.  Grooming snow should be done at around 8-12 mph. The tracks cut the top speed of the UTV quite a bit.  Something like about half the speed you get with tires on.

You can see this in action in our videos on youtube.

The  rearview mirror makes it great to be able to watch your snow groomer to just see how things are working and that there is no trouble.

The space in the back of the Honda Pioneer snow groomer allows us to have shovels or tow ropes when needed.
