Owning a Snowcat is a major investment but can also be a major source of fun. A Snowcat can make work easier or sometimes even possible.  Snowcat snow grooming can be just what a Snowcat is made for.  If you have a large groomer and a plow on your Snowcat then lots of this may not be that big of a deal.  The reason for this article is that there are lots of Snowcat’s out there without a snow groomer.  For lots of good reasons.  This article is to discuss the reasons and why you may just want a groomer. We think you need a Snowcat Snow groomer that is meant to change the paths you take your Snowcat on.

Snowcats are used for going places where very few vehicles can go.  And for hauling lots of people and equipment into those places.  The tracks make it so they float on the snow and have lots of traction.  One of our favorite things is Snowcat skiing or boarding  because they take you places that there are no ski resorts.  They can go when Helicopters cannot fly because of weather and usually they are much less expensive than using a helicopter.

I could go on and on about how cool it is to have a SnowcatSnowcat.

Snowcats are fun

Since many Snowcats are used for things besides snow grooming and snow groomers can be expensive and even more expensive to tow all the time. We think that using a smaller snow groomer in lots of cases just makes tons of sense.

The Snow Groomer we are talking about is called a Snomaster 72.  It is lightweight even so light weight that you may not notice it while driving.  But towing it leaves the trail way better than not towing it.  The Snomaster 72 is much less expensive that the snow groomers that usually come with Snowcats. Because it is smaller it costs way less to pull.

Snowcat Snow groomer can make life better.

A Snomaster 72 pulled behind a Snowcat can make the trails smoother even for the Snowcat . Some Snowcats have to go down snowmobile trails that get whoops on them.  The plow on the Snowcat can take them out if you have a plow on your snowcat.  But the whoops come back quickly because the snow is not packed by the plow.

The plow on a Snowcat is awesome

The plow on a Snowcat are what we call 6 way plows so using them to level roads that have drifts is just fantastic.  Keeping a nice road after you have plowed it level is the job of the snow groomer.

When a Snowcatv goes down a trail it may not dig it up too bad because of how much track is on the snow.  But it for sure does not leave corduroy and a perfectly level packed trial or road.

There are some limitations to the snowmaster 72.  They do not back up well.  But very few snow groomers do.  The nice thing is you can move them by hand though so if you need to back up much this is not that big of an issue.

Smooth trails are nice

Even when coming back down the mountain or a trail or going back home the groomed trail is just much nicer to travel in your SnowcatSnowcat.  Let alone all the others who may want to go on your trail.

The Snowcat with a snow groomer can make fantastic tubing or sledding lanes just by going up roads or hills.  Some Snowcats haul a lot of people so using them to make a road or trail for sledders and letting them right in a nice trail that is not just two tracks can be amazing.

If you own a Snowcat and use it to get to your cabin or other places and people use snowmobiles to get there as well. Then having this snow groomer will make you loved instead of cussed because of how you may dig up the trail.

A Snowcat makes it easy to lay classic tracks from cross country skiers on your trail.

Simply put, having a Snomaster 72 for when you want a nice road or trail. Even if your Snowcat is used for other reasons can be a very smart thing to do.  And the cost to buy and operate is way reasonable compared to many snow drags or snow groomers that SnowcatSnowcat drivers use.

Check out the video of a Snowcat pulling the Snomaster 72. We think you will like having a Snowcat Snow groomer.
